Inserting Parts

A workpiece carrier is located on the conveyor belt. It is loaded with a fully assembled two-component workpiece (top and bottom pieces). The loaded workpiece carrier is positioned under the inserting module. The workpiece is clamped for processing. A bolt from one of the two gravity-fed magazines is inserted into the hole in the workpiece. The clamp opens and the loaded workpiece carrier moves to the end of the conveyor belt to be taken over by the next substation.
